Juniper Green Energy Commissions 100-MW Solar Power Project for Cross-Border Supply to Bhutan

Juniper Green Energy has successfully commissioned a 100-MW solar power project in Rajasthan, India, marking a significant step in cross-border energy collaboration. This project supports an agreement facilitating electricity supply to Bhutan, ensuring regional energy security and integration.

Under the arrangement, 50% of the power generated will be supplied to Bhutan during winter months, addressing the country’s seasonal electricity demand. This initiative is part of a broader framework allowing Bhutan to directly import renewable energy from India.

Naresh Mansukhani, CEO of Juniper Green Energy, emphasized the importance of this initiative: “This marks a key milestone in regional energy integration. By facilitating direct energy trade, we are enhancing energy security and supporting critical sectors in Bhutan.”
