Shree Cement Limited, one of India’s leading cement producers, has inaugurated its state-of-the-art cement grinding unit at Nigoh Hasnapur, Etah, Uttar Pradesh. The facility, inaugurated by Shri Yogi Adityanath, Hon’ble Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, marks a significant milestone in the company’s expansion and commitment to sustainable industrial growth in the state.

Key Features of the Etah Cement Plant
The Etah plant is one of the largest cement grinding units in Uttar Pradesh with a production capacity of 3 MTPA (Million Tonnes Per Annum). Developed with an investment of ₹1,000 crore, the facility integrates advanced German technology, sustainable design, and pollution control systems.
Sustainability Highlights:

Fly ash processing from the adjoining Jawaharpur Thermal Power Plant for eco-efficient production.

40 MW solar power capacity, reducing dependence on conventional energy.

Zero-waste operations with air-cooled screw compressors to minimize water usage.

Fully covered raw material storage and advanced filters to keep emissions well below permissible norms.
Employment & Socio-Economic Development
The Etah plant will generate direct and indirect employment opportunities, boost ancillary industries, and contribute to the socio-economic development of the region.
Shree Cement also announced its plans to establish a medical school and hospital in Uttar Pradesh with an investment of ₹5 crore, enhancing access to healthcare. Additionally, the company will support education and infrastructure in Nigoh Hasanpur village, benefitting nearly 2,500 residents.

Expanding Presence in Uttar Pradesh
Shree Cement already operates plants in Bulandshahr (cement grinding unit & 2 AAC block plants), RMC plants in Lucknow, and an upcoming facility in Noida. The company also plans new units in Prayagraj and Gorakhpur, reinforcing its long-term commitment to the state.
With over 60% of its power requirements met from renewable sources like solar and wind, Shree Cement continues to be one of the world’s most eco-friendly cement producers.
