Hyderabad, India — Suzlon Group, one of India’s leading renewable energy companies, has appointed Kamesh Chaganti as the new Head of Human Resources for its South India business, further strengthening its leadership bench as the company scales up operations across the region.
The appointment, announced on Thursday, highlights Suzlon’s focus on building robust regional leadership and enhancing its human capital strategy to support rapid growth in India’s expanding wind energy sector.

In his new role, Kamesh Chaganti will oversee the entire HR portfolio across Suzlon’s southern manufacturing and project sites. His key responsibilities will include talent strategy, organizational development, compensation planning, HR business partnership, capability building, and labour compliance — all crucial areas as Suzlon ramps up execution capacity to meet the growing demand for renewable energy solutions.
The company stated that Chaganti’s appointment reflects its commitment to strengthening regional HR and operational excellence in one of its most critical geographies.
“His diverse experience and people-centric approach will help advance our talent priorities as we enter the next phase of growth,” Suzlon Group said in an official statement.
A Veteran HR Leader with Cross-Industry Expertise
Kamesh Chaganti brings more than 20 years of human resources experience across diverse sectors including media, technology, and engineering.
Prior to joining Suzlon, he spent 14 years at Zee Entertainment Enterprises, where he served as General Manager – HR, leading leadership development and workforce transformation initiatives. Before that, he was part of Tech Mahindra’s HR Americas division, supporting global people operations, and began his career with Navya Engineers & Equipments.
Over the years, he has worked with Zee Network, MAA (Star India), Tech Mahindra, and Navya Engineers, gaining deep expertise in large-scale workforce management, multi-location HR design, and organizational transformation.
This wide-ranging exposure positions him well to align Suzlon’s people agenda with its business growth priorities in a sector undergoing rapid expansion.
Strengthening Suzlon’s Regional HR and Operational Backbone
South India remains a strategic hub for Suzlon, hosting key manufacturing facilities and project execution centers that form the backbone of its operations. With the renewable energy market rebounding and domestic wind energy demand rising, Suzlon has been actively strengthening its regional HR and capability development programs to support increased production and service capacity.
Based in South India, Chaganti will work closely with plant and business leaders to drive productivity, optimize workforce performance, and ensure adherence to labour standards. His focus will be on building a sustainable talent pipeline and reinforcing a compliance-driven, performance-oriented culture across Suzlon’s operations in the region.
The company believes that strategic HR leadership at the regional level will be key to enhancing organizational agility, reducing operational bottlenecks, and fostering long-term workforce engagement as Suzlon expands its footprint in India’s renewable energy ecosystem.
