Simple Energy, a Bengaluru-based electric vehicle (EV) manufacturer, has announced key leadership appointments to accelerate its nationwide growth strategy. The company has named Jitin Johnson as Head of Marketing and Kevin Thomas as Head of Brand, while also expanding its marketing team to over 40 professionals to drive its next phase of brand and business growth.
As part of its aggressive expansion plans, Simple Energy aims to establish 150 retail stores and 200 service centers across India by March 2026, reinforcing its commitment to building a robust national presence in the EV space.
With over 14 years of marketing experience, Jitin Johnson joins Simple Energy after serving as Assistant General Manager – Digital Marketing at River. In his new role, he will lead the company’s omnichannel marketing strategy, overseeing brand development, go-to-market initiatives, digital transformation, and customer engagement.

Kevin Thomas, the newly appointed Head of Brand, brings over 13 years of expertise in Creative Direction and Visual Design. He previously served as Principal Visual Designer at Ultraviolette Automotive and has held leadership roles at major global brands like Amazon, Motorola, and OnePlus.

Driving Innovation in Electric Mobility
Simple Energy continues to cement its leadership in the EV segment with its latest offerings — the Simple ONE Gen 1.5 and Simple OneS — delivering industry-leading IDC ranges of 248 km and 181 km, respectively. The company also made history as India’s first OEM to commercially manufacture heavy rare-earth-free motors and the first to offer an 8-year motor warranty.
With 61 retail outlets already operational in cities like Bengaluru, Goa, Hyderabad, Chennai, and Jaipur, Simple Energy is preparing to expand into five new markets, including Delhi and Patna, by early 2026.
