Strategic Appointment Supports GCC Expansion and Business Transformation

The appointment comes at a time when organisations across industries are increasingly investing in Global Capability Centres (GCCs) to streamline operations, improve efficiency, standardise processes, and support strategic business functions.

As businesses continue to embrace digital transformation and shared services models, GCCs have become critical hubs for delivering innovation, finance operations, analytics, technology services, and business support functions at scale.

SKF’s latest leadership move reflects its commitment to strengthening operational capabilities while supporting future growth across the ISEAM region.

Driving Operational Excellence and Capability Building

In her new position, Jalan will play a key role in enhancing SKF’s regional capabilities and supporting the company’s ongoing transformation agenda.

Her responsibilities will include:

  • Scaling SKF’s Global Capability Centre operations
  • Strengthening finance operations and governance frameworks
  • Driving business transformation initiatives

  • Building scalable delivery and support models
  • Supporting long-term value creation and business growth

Commenting on her appointment, Jalan highlighted the opportunity to build future-ready capabilities and create scalable operational platforms that contribute to sustainable business performance.

SKF noted that the appointment aligns with its broader strategy of establishing standardised and efficient operating models while strengthening support functions that enable growth across multiple markets.

More Than 25 Years of Leadership Experience

Jalan brings over 25 years of experience across finance, consulting, audit, banking, telecommunications, logistics, and e-commerce sectors.

Throughout her career, she has led large-scale finance operations, shared services functions, organisational transformation programmes, and process optimisation initiatives for multinational organisations.

Before joining SKF, she held leadership positions at several global and Indian companies, including:

  • Amazon
  • Maersk Global Service Centres
  • Tata Teleservices
  • Tata Communications
  • Avaya
  • ICICI Bank
  • Bharti Airtel

Her extensive experience in managing complex business operations, driving efficiency programmes, and leading cross-functional teams is expected to support SKF’s efforts to strengthen service delivery capabilities across the region.

Strong Academic and Professional Credentials

Jalan is a qualified Chartered Accountant from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) and holds an Executive MBA from the Indian Institute of Management Calcutta (IIM Calcutta).

Her combination of financial expertise, operational leadership, and transformation experience positions her to lead SKF’s next phase of capability development and operational growth.

SKF Continues Focus on Sustainable Industrial Growth

SKF India (Industrial) is part of the global SKF Group, a leading provider of bearings, seals, lubrication systems, condition monitoring solutions, and industrial services.

The company serves a wide range of industries by helping customers improve productivity, reduce energy consumption, minimise friction, and enhance operational reliability.

As industrial companies increasingly focus on efficiency, digitalisation, and sustainable operations, strong finance and capability centres play an important role in supporting business performance and long-term competitiveness.

Outlook

The appointment of Madhu Dhandhania Jalan underscores SKF India’s commitment to strengthening its operational foundation and advancing its regional transformation agenda.

With deep expertise in finance operations, shared services, and organisational transformation, Jalan is expected to play a pivotal role in scaling SKF’s GCC capabilities, improving operational efficiency, and supporting the company’s long-term growth ambitions across India, Southeast Asia, and the Middle East.
