  • EPC Contract Includes Construction and O&M Services
  • Sunsational Power to Drive Renewable Energy Generation
  • Strengthening Waaree’s Independent Power Producer Platform
  • India’s Solar Sector Continues Rapid Expansion
  • Supporting India’s Clean Energy Future

The project represents one of the first significant project awards within Waaree’s growing clean energy generation platform and underscores the company’s commitment to expanding its presence across India’s rapidly evolving renewable energy sector.

EPC Contract Includes Construction and O&M Services

Under the agreement, Waaree Renewable Technologies will be responsible for the complete execution of the solar project, including:

  • Engineering and design services
  • Procurement of equipment and materials
  • Construction and installation
  • Project commissioning
  • Two years of operation and maintenance (O&M) services after commissioning

The solar power project is expected to be completed during FY 2026-27.

The contract further strengthens Waaree Renewable Technologies’ position as a leading solar EPC player in India’s fast-growing renewable energy market.

Sunsational Power to Drive Renewable Energy Generation

Sunsational Power Private Limited was incorporated in May 2025 as a wholly owned subsidiary of Waaree Renewable Technologies to expand the group’s renewable energy generation capabilities.

The company has been established to undertake activities across the renewable energy value chain, including:

  • Solar power generation
  • Wind energy projects
  • Hydropower development
  • Renewable energy transmission and distribution
  • Energy accumulation and storage solutions
  • Development of power infrastructure projects

The subsidiary will also participate in the engineering, procurement, and construction of renewable energy facilities and associated infrastructure.

Strengthening Waaree’s Independent Power Producer Platform

The latest project award highlights Waaree Group’s strategy of building an integrated renewable energy business that combines manufacturing, EPC execution, and power generation.

Industry analysts view the development as an important step in creating a scalable Independent Power Producer (IPP) platform that can generate long-term recurring revenue through renewable energy assets.

India’s renewable energy market continues to attract significant investments as the country pursues ambitious clean energy targets and seeks to reduce dependence on fossil fuels.

With increasing demand for solar and wind power, integrated renewable energy companies are focusing on building end-to-end capabilities spanning project development, execution, and energy generation.

India’s Solar Sector Continues Rapid Expansion

India remains one of the world’s fastest-growing renewable energy markets, with solar energy playing a central role in the country’s energy transition strategy.

The government has set ambitious renewable energy targets as part of its broader commitment to achieving energy security and reducing carbon emissions.

Large-scale utility solar projects continue to drive capacity additions across the country, supported by:

  • Falling solar module costs
  • Improved project economics
  • Growing demand for clean energy
  • Supportive policy frameworks
  • Increased private sector participation

Companies with strong EPC capabilities and integrated renewable energy platforms are expected to play a critical role in delivering the next phase of solar infrastructure growth.

Supporting India’s Clean Energy Future

The 450 MWp solar project reinforces Waaree Renewable Technologies’ growing role in India’s renewable energy ecosystem.

By combining EPC expertise with power generation capabilities through Sunsational Power, the company is positioning itself to capitalize on rising demand for clean energy infrastructure and long-term renewable power generation opportunities.

As India accelerates its transition toward a low-carbon economy, investments in large-scale solar projects such as this are expected to contribute significantly to the country’s renewable energy capacity expansion and sustainability goals.
